Ledgers is a
simplified sales and purchase ledger system which also incorporates
client and sundry invoicing. There is no stock system to clutter
the package and therefore offers a neat option for small service
companies who find some other full accounting packages too threatening
or expensive.
Five VAT rates
are stored on the system for future extension of the current VAT
system and any rate can be applied to each invoice entry.
The package
allows you to keep full records on both clients and suppliers and
will allow invoices to be produced for both clients and for sundry
sales. The accounting procedures are kept separate for the daily
cash/till sales and the monthly accounts, and quarterly reports
are available for sales and purchases for VAT returns to be completed
quickly and efficiently.
Payment methods
include cash, cheque or credit cards and when credit card is selected
you are offered the option of adding surcharges to the invoice.
The current rate for credit card surcharge is stored on the system
and can be easily changed when required. Invoices and other documents
may be produced on preprinted letterheads or you may use the system
default letterhead supplied, which will allow you to add your own
logo if required. The system will also allow blank letter headed
paper to be printed.
For client sales,
account may be selected as the payment method which allows the value
to be added to the debtors file and to the client's outstanding
balance. For each client stored on the system, full accounting procedures
such as statement production and marking off invoices when payments
are received are all taken care of so that the user can see immediately
how much a client owes.
A calculator
to carry out simple mathematics has been included for convenience.
